Forum Title: Hardwood Floor Repair
I thought I post this here as well. Thanks A client of mine has a nasty stain about 20 inches in diameter that encompasses about 10 widths of hardwood floor. Anywho, I have done an internet search for this topic and have become familiar with it. However, does anyone have any advice as to what ehy have experienced? I understand that the bottom of the groove will need to be removed so that the piece is able to fit the tongue. Here's the big Q......When gluing say the final piece in, is it best to glue it right to the subfloor...or should I just glue the groove? I am worried about expansion/contraction and eventual floor buckling if I glue right to the subfloor. Should I be concerned? I was going to use liquid nails as the glue. I am going to try and NOT face nail. Is this a good idea as well? Thanks in advance.
